Deine Variante liefert offensichtlich keine Rückgabe. Damit ist der "boolean context" niemals wahr und jegliche Änderung am Textfeld wird daher verworfen.

Damit erscheint es so, als ob das Textfeld keine Eingabe mehr annimmt (was ja auch korrekt ist).
