Hintergrund war, dass ich via HTTP::Async parallel verschiedene Requests schicken möchte, die im Hintergrund abgearbeitet werden und dann zur Verfügung stehen, wenn ein entsprechender, fehlerfreier, Response vorhanden ist.

Das abarbeiten macht RequestHandler, welcher die übergebenen anonymen Subs ( $self->{'sub_handler'}->use_sub_later( sub { $self->say_hello } ); ) im Antwortfall aufruft.

Wichtig auch, zwingend nicht blockierend, da als Frontend Tk dient.
