Problem bei Modulinstallation: via perl

Hallo!
Würde gerne das Modul CGI::Compress::Gzip auf meiner Windows(XP) - Maschine installieren.
Für ppm gibts das nicht, also dachte ich mir, benutze ich CPAN.

Aber wenn ich den Befehl perl -MCPAN -e "install CGI::Compress::Gzip" ausführe kommt am Ende immer ein Fehler:

Der Befehl "test" ist entweder falsch geschrieben oder
konnte nicht gefunden werden.

Woran könnte das liegen?
Wie bekomme ich es weg?

Läuft das überhaupt auf Windows? Da bin ich mir nicht sicher, da ich es auch schon einmal versucht habe.
Unter Linux keine Probleme, aber Windows zickt da rum.

Also da gibt es eine make Implemtentierung für windows. soll bwe buggy sein. Ich verwende unter Win immer ppm.
Modul runterladen, entpacken, ppm Modul-Name.ppd und ab dafür.
internetverbindung dafür ist erforderlich.

oh *werlesenlakann*.
um das zu machen brauchst du die Cygwin-Tools Da ist die make implementierung von MS (nmake) z.B. drauf und tar und gzip und so Scherze.

beim testen scheint es ein paar probleme zu geben...
kann aber auch einfach an der Win32 Ausgabe liegen...

Habe gerade gesehen, dass nmake bzw. dmake doch nicht bei cygwin dabei ist.
Kannst du mir bitte Sagen wo ich das her bekomme?
also ich brauche nmake

Ich bekomme ebenfalls Fehlermeldungen mit der CGI::Compress::Gzip-Testsuite auf einer Linux-Kiste mit perl 5.8.0 und LANG=en_US.UTF-8 (die ueblichen Unicode-Probleme mit perl 5.8.0). Ansonsten scheint CGI::Compress::Gzip noch ein paar Macken zu haben, jedenfalls laeuft die Testsuite meiner grossen Anwendung mit eingeschaltetem CGI::Compress::Gzip nicht fehlerlos durch. Mit Apache::Registry gab es auch Probleme, glaube ich mich zu erinnern.

This module fails tests specifically under Windows in ways I do not understand, as reported by CPANPLUS testers. There is some problem with my IO::Zlib tests. If anyone knows about IO::Zlib failures or caveats on Windows, please let me know. It *might* be related to binmode, but I have not tested this theory.
